Much of daily life is small and repetitive. Deciding what to cook. Remembering what is already in the cupboard. Turning a week of meals into one sensible shopping trip. These routines deserve better tools than they usually get.
Founders Stack makes that kind of software. We pick one narrow problem, study how people already handle it, and then build something calm enough to use every day. No noise, no clutter, no features that exist only to fill a screen.

Spurtle Recipes & Pantry
Spurtle is an iPhone app for people who cook. Recipes, pantry items, meal plans and shopping lists live in one place, so the question of what to eat stops being a research project.

Recipes from anywhere
Import from a link, a photo, a PDF or a video. Spurtle reads the recipe and keeps the parts you can reuse.

Recipes and components
Save finished dishes and the building blocks behind them, then reuse a sauce or a dough across as many recipes as you like.

Pantry and meals
Track what you have on hand, plan the week ahead, and see how a plan maps onto the shelf you already stocked.

Shopping and cook mode
Combine grocery lists from your meal plans, then follow a guided cook mode while you are at the stove.
Spurtle is in an invite-only beta. An App Store release is planned.

Design with restraint
Interface first, and only what earns its place. Clear hierarchy, honest labels, few interruptions. A tool you open daily should not need a manual.

Small, dependable software built for the long run: careful handling of your data, sensible defaults, and no cleverness that gets between you and the task.

Products are kept up, not abandoned. We fix what breaks, listen to the people using our software, and improve it release by release.
About
Founders Stack is an independent software studio.
We design and build our own consumer products, and we keep that line narrow so each one gets real attention. The work spans product design, application engineering, and the unglamorous parts that keep software useful after launch: documentation, support and steady maintenance.
Spurtle is the first product from the studio and where most of our time goes today. It came from a simple frustration: the recipes, the pantry and the shopping list usually live in three different places. We stay focused on Spurtle and keep improving it, release by release, instead of spreading the studio thin.
